The Tudors: Episode 3
The third episode of The Tudors airs tonight on Showtime and will be replayed throughout the week. You can also view the episode On Demand.
Via Lara at TudorHistory.org, Variety reports that the show has been picked up for another season. They’ll be able to go through a lot of seasons before they run out of Tudor history, and all of it the stuff of good television.

By the way, did you know that Henry VIII founded the Anglican Church and converted his whole country from Catholicism so that he could break with the Pope, grant himself a divorce, and marry Anne Boleyn? That’s hot.

I just watched this episode. I think the series is starting to grow on me, now that I have a better idea what to expect. I’ve decided to stop worrying about such things as what year it is or who is the Pope and just sit back and enjoy the nudity.
By the way, I’m loving the newly introduced character of Princess Margaret who is off to marry the aged King of Portugal. I’m assuming this is based on Princess Mary who married Louis XII, the aged King of France, but of course they had to change that because Francis is already the King of France. But as I said, I’m choosing to focus less on that kind of thing and more on the looming passions between her and Suffolk. Yum!
And we finally got a name-check for Erasmus. That’s all I ask.
