Six Degrees of Sir Francis Bacon: Tress MacNeille
First, read the rules of the game.
This week’s challenge is voice artist Tress MacNeille.
Note that she does a lot of voices on The Simpsons (including the Crazy Cat Lady!) but most of these links are to a page that is a list of recurring characters. Since this is not an individual’s page, it may not be used in this challenge.
Still, I was able to link Tress MacNeille to Sir Francis Bacon in six degrees or fewer, though that shouldn’t stop you from posting a longer response, or looking for a shorter one. Entries will be accepted until midnight on Thursday, December 13.
Good luck!
And congratulations to Neel Mehta for winning last week’s challenge by linking Washington Irving to Sir Francis Bacon in an amazing two degrees:
Washington Irving > Edgar Allan Poe > Sir Francis Bacon
Washington Irving is said to have encouraged Edgar Allan Poe, who argued that he did not write from the empirical method of modern science set by Sir Francis Bacon.
NOTE: Since Neel’s winning entry, the Poe page has been edited (ostensibly in earnest) to remove the Bacon link. Perfectly eligible for last week’s challenge, the Poe-Bacon link may not be used for this week’s. Such is Wikipedia.

Why is “Feud” among the categories for this post? Does it have to do with Wikipedia edits? Or the Crazy Cat Lady?
Tress MacNeille > Lucille Ball > George Washington > Thomas Jefferson > Sir Francis Bacon
Maybe there’s a faster way through Weird Al, but so far I don’t see it.

Nicely done. Your entry is good. My solution was also four links. There may be a faster way, but I don’t know it.
Crazy Cat Lady doesn’t have her own page, otherwise she would have been this week’s challenge. So the subject was inspired by and thematically related to the feud, though not actually a part of it.
As I said, the Wikipedia edit appears to be in earnest.

I’m sitting right here!!

Crazy Cat Lady isn’t meant to be you. It’s a character from The Simpsons.
As I said, the choice was inspired by, but not meant to be part of, the feud.
You have established to everyone’s satisfaction that you are not a cat blogger as I had originally thought. Based on your posting entries about your cats, video about feeding cats, subscription to Cat Fancy magazines, and various cat pictures that adorn your blog, you can understand why I might have jumped to that conclusion.
The Six Degrees choice is usually something from the blog that week. I did not intend for it to be … catty.

I was just ribbing you, Bill. Plus, there’s only one Cat Fancy magazine.

That holds up, but it only ties Neel, and his was the earlier entry.
Still, I enjoyed learning about Paul McCartney’s Shakespeare connection.
Welcome back, Mike!

Your rules, but I think Mike deserves shared credit, or at least an honorable mention; based on what you said, he came up with an equally short chain that was neither mine nor yours.

Honorable mention for Mike.
Can’t give him shared credit, though, because the rules are the rules. You can both take comfort from the fact that the stakes are breathtakingly low.
Of course, there are hours left until midnight. Nobody’s won anything yet.
