Thursday Morning Riddle
Both in cards and in sport, I can show that you’re skilled;
I’m the leg that won’t work; or the deer that you killed;
I’m a theory in math that continues to build;
And how soldiers preparing for war can be drilled.
Who am I?
UPDATE: Riddle solved by Annalisa. See comments for answer.

i’m not too sure about my answer, but i’m stuck on it. i can’t think about a different answer till i get this one outta my head, so i figured i’d try to write two more lines to see if i’m right. if my hunch is correct, the next two lines should be true:
I’m where you can buy things so that you can build,
and teachers report to me when they aren’t thrilled.

To Annalisa: I agree with that.

that works much better than the “ace” i was stuck on, which doesn’t work for line 2 at all and only obscurely for line 3. thanks for the answer Annalisa!
